How many porta potties does a California job site need?

A California construction site needs at least 1 toilet for every 20 employees or fraction of 20 under Cal/OSHA 8 CCR 1526, which is stricter than the federal OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51 Table D-1 for big crews. A crew of 8 needs 1 toilet, 21 needs 2, and 45 needs 3. Toilets must be kept clean and in good working order.

How does construction porta potty service work?

Every week our technician pumps the tank, scrubs and sanitizes the seat, urinal, walls and floor, adds fresh deodorizer, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Service happens on a set weekday so your superintendent knows when to expect us. Extra visits after a busy pour or inspection are one call away.

  • Service day fixed for the life of the rental
  • Text confirmation after each service
  • Locked gate? Leave the code in your booking
  • Move the unit as the build progresses; a move on a service day is free

What should I have ready before delivery?

Give us the job address, the spot for the unit, gate codes and an on-site contact. Pick firm, level ground within a short walk of the work and at least 10 feet from the street. The truck needs a clear path about 10 feet wide. We will call ahead if timing changes.

Questions renters ask

Can I leave the job site rental open-ended until the project is done?

Job site rentals stay open until you call for pickup. They bill every 28 days with weekly service included, so you never need to guess an end date. Billing stops the day you request pickup.

How many workers can one porta potty handle?

One standard porta potty with weekly service handles up to about 10 workers on a 40-hour week. Cal/OSHA allows up to 20 per toilet, but at that load the unit needs twice-weekly service to stay usable. We set the schedule to your real crew size.

Do you offer extra service for crews larger than 10?

Crews over 10 people can add a second weekly service or a second unit. We quote both options so you can choose the lower cost. In summer heat inland, the extra visit usually works better than a second unit.

Can you move the porta potty as the build moves?

We move units around the same job site on a service day at no charge. A move on another day, or to a different address, is quoted as a short delivery.
