Do I need a permit for a porta potty at my house?
A porta potty on your own driveway or yard needs no permit in Fort Bragg. A unit on the street or sidewalk needs a City of Fort Bragg encroachment permit, which takes 1–2 weeks. HOAs and rental-home rules may limit placement, so check those before delivery day.
Where should a porta potty go at a house?
Put a home porta potty on level ground at the side of the driveway or behind a fence, at least 10 feet from windows and the street, with the door facing your yard rather than the neighbor's. Leave a clear path about 10 feet wide for the truck.

(707) 360-1810Questions renters ask
Can I rent a porta potty for my house while the bathroom is being remodeled?
Homeowners rent one standard unit for remodels all the time. It bills every 28 days with weekly service, and you call when the new bathroom works. Most remodels need one unit for one or two cycles.
Will my neighbors smell a porta potty in the driveway?
A serviced porta potty with a vent stack and fresh deodorizer has very little odor beyond a few feet. Placing it away from windows, in some shade and with weekly service keeps it that way.
Do you pump out RV or travel trailer tanks?
Terra Porta Rentals services the portable toilets we rent and does not pump RV, travel-trailer or septic tanks. For those, call a licensed septic pumper. We are happy to drop a porta potty while your septic is being fixed.
